Meet the makers - Cort Jewellery
Meet Ash & Dean from Cort Jewellery, based in Queensland, Australia. The husband & wife duo have been hand-making custom jewellery from silver & gold for many years.
The business was originally started by Ash after high-school, when she was working with costume jewellery - which is when she fell in love with the idea of making the jewellery itself (rather than just selling it). She quit her full time job to learn the trade, and hasn't looked back since.
One day Ash made a Palm Tree signet ring for Dean, which became very popular locally and soon people were asking left right and centre for one of her signet rings. The business became busy enough that Dean jumped on to help, and Cort Jewellery was born.
"We get along really well," said Ash, "which brings a lot to the business."
Ash & Dean pride themselves on their customer satisfaction, Which can easily be seen in their creations.
"It's the best feeling, knowing something that you love to do every day; someone else appreciates just as much as you do."
