"I feel like my style is very minimal but also very bold - it’s always chopping and changing. That’s one of the best parts about being an artist - always looking for different design elements that you can work on, and not staying stagnant. Always chasing the new.
"I got into ceramics quite organically, it came as a surprise. I took classes at a pottery studio, and got some practice on the wheel.
I went from hand building little vases on my coffee table to my full-time business, and now having the studio too. I’ve got my living upstairs, and my work downstairs.
A lot of designs are pieces I’ve done before, but evolved. In the last few months I’ve honed into what I want to be known for, and a more cohesive style.
I do like making big bold statement pieces. Something that can really take away a room, or be a standout piece. That’s the direction I want to go in - more of an artist, not just a ceramicist.”
